Before we knocked off for the day, we made a quick visit to the Super Pit lookout for a different view of the mine than we had earlier on our tour. The lookout is going to be moved this year, and it will probably be a busy spot tomorrow when a blast is scheduled - unfortunately we’ll be elsewhere.
We also stopped by Mount Charlotte. The significance of this water reservoir s that it is the terminus of the goldfields water pipeline that starts in Mundaring, and made life bearable in Kalgoorlie-Boulder in 1903 when it was commissioned.
